How It All Started
In 2001, Eric Miller, CEO of TOURIG, commissioned his first adventure vehicle with his business partner at the time. The need for a camper van stemmed from a desire to have a comfortable home base for his dogs and family while on the road traveling for work and pleasure. The lifestyle this provided became an integral part of who he was, and something he wanted to share with others.
In 2015, Miller and Paul Bulger established TOURIG, the nation’s foremost builder of high performance expedition vehicles. From day one they set out to build self-contained, over the road vehicles that encouraged the spirit of adventure, something they both feel so drawn to.
TOURIG quickly gained popularity and despite wanting to be able to work on non-TOURIG vans, they just didn’t have the capacity at the time.
With the growing popularity of the camper van market, the genuine need for a dedicated service center was obvious. TOURIG Recreation Group was created in order to provide service, maintenance and installation work for camper vans. “TRG is a sister company of TOURIG and was created from the experiences and knowledge we’ve gained from TOURIG”, says Miller. In Spring of 2022, TRG opened its doors with a dedicated service facility and dedicated service staff in a brand new, state-of-the-art building conveniently located right next to the TOURIG production facility in Golden, Colorado.
